So long and thanks for all the fish - Aug 8, 2003 2:09am - tidbit
If you were (one of) our faithful fan(s), you probably noticed that the old MacMilitia.com hasn't had anything new. For a year.* So we (John and David) decided, "To heck with this! This old site structure is so out-dated and clogged, it is stifling our creativity, turning away our readers, and leaving our children behind!" To which we realized, none of us have children, so we didn't get around to doing anything about the whole situation.

Until now, that is. We were finally able to realize that the cons of the first two far outweighed the pointlessness of the third.

So we are here to announce the return of MacMilitia, with the slogan "so long, and thanks for all the fish". Based on the success of previous "total overhauls" of MacMilitia.com, where we created a title such as "Resurrected", and subsequently met with no success, we decided to try some reverse psychology. So long and thanks for all the fish! We're going away and never coming back. See, reverse psychology! (What's the deal with fish? Well, as far as we know there aren't any other Mac sites with a fish as their logo...)

In fact, we have completely rebuilt the site from the ground up, and moved all the old articles out of view. (Don't worry, iBook Surgery: A New Hard Drive and other articles are still available. The old MacMilitia.com is fully running on old.macmilitia.com.) Now, everything is database-driven, automated, searchable, and expandable. It's simple but powerful.

And we're ready to take on the whole freakin' world in Ghost Recon.
